Nail clipping My boyfriend and I got a nail clipper for CoCo and decided to do ourselves -- instead of taking him to the groomer. BIG MISTAKE! First of all, we never did it before...and I was too scared to do it, so John (my boyfriend) did it. However, CoCo wouldn't stop moving, so it turned out to be horrible! It hurts more than it did when he accidently scratched me with his longer nails. How do we get him to calm down when we clip his nails??

I have to wrap Ceeby up in a baby blanket and get one paw at a time out. I hold him securely in the blanket and my husband clips. He clipped one too close the first time and Ceeby acted like he was dying but was very still after that. We had some of the stuff you put on to stop blood. (I can't remember what it was called right now). Thank goodness once is all we hurt him.

We put a blanket over him too, and tried to comfort him -- but it all failed.
