I think he has your number. These guys are real little cons. But this is something that needs done for his own good. So firmly hold him up against your chest while John cuts his nails. Talk calmly to him and be reassuring while it's going on. He feels your stress, so it's probably making him act worse. The 1st couple times will probably be bad but he'll learn this is not hurtful. Now on another note, I do recommend you keep quick stop at home in case you nick a quick. It's a yellowish powder and can be gotten at pet stores.
