| High lipase levels- can someone help? Hi everyone! I'm looking to pick everyone's brain. I have a 9 year old yorkie who went through a bout of pancreatitis around Halloween. With a stay in the hospital and a switch to low fat prescription food, she is doing quite well- or at least I thought so. Her vet took blood today and we can't understand why her lipase levels are still so high! I feed her 3 small meals a day- good bm's, no vomiting, no diarhea. HAs this happened to anyone else? She looks so healthy and acts the same, I am beside nyself. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I'm sorry to hear that. Can they rerun the test to make sure it's right. I don't have any experience with this but hopefully someone else will who does. I'll keep her in my prayers.

| Got some good news today- the vet sent the same blood out to the national lab and viola! her lipase is normal. Apparently there was a problem with his equipment. The same lab provides him with his testing stuff. I'm glad I wasn't around to hear that conversation! |

| Blades I rejoice with you ..... what great news. It just goes to confirm that when we get "bad news" in the form of a test result, we should always ask for a second opinion. Yeah Yeah Yeah |
