| I am getting an order from Drs. Foster & Smith in the next couple of days, so I will be sure to write it so I won't forget. How often does one use? Hopefully, I will remember to refrigerate it! A mind is a terrible thing to waste

| You just sprinke a teaspoon of it on their food once a day.

| Being a pharmacy technician (daughter of a pharmacist and owner of a pharmacy), we recently did our own "study" of omega 3 fatty acid supplements and their cost. My mom's 2 yorkies and her labrador retriever all have problems with scratching. They tend to do this all year long and it was my belief that Benadryl was going the opposite direction (drying out the skin) than what we wanted to achieve. SO, I went to Petco one night and picked up some Omega 3 fatty acid capsules and to my amazement, it was almost $30.00 for a bottle of these capsules. If I recall correctly, the labrador would have had to take I think 3 of these things in order to get the dosage she needed for one day! That bottle wasn't going to last very long at that rate. I went back to the drug store that I worked at and decided to compare what I just bought to what we have on the shelf for human consumption. To my surprise, MUCH CHEAPER, higher dosages of the same ingredients. I called the vet, faxed over a copy of both labels, and asked them to evaluate if one could be substituted for the other. Within a few minutes, I got the return call that said, "Yes...no problem whatsoever." So, for those of you that want to keep with the ease of dosing your loved ones with a capsule, you can get your omega 3 fatty acid caps from your local pharmacy and just dose 1 per day. They're much cheaper for more. Mom's little ones think they're treats. They even chew the things and pop the liquid right out of the capsules. It's funny to watch them eat them.
