GREAT POST. I'm re-evaluating Otis's diet. Where can you buy Natural Balance? I never heard of it! | |

Blondie! As I said I prefer Royal Canin Yorkie 28, and so does he and that's all that really matters. I just wanted to make and attitional comment.....he is silver and blonde vey light colored. And my dog is extremely active on a daily basis.

Which Natural Balance do you get? I'm interrested in switching. How much do you recommend to feed a 9 week yorkie that's 2 pounds?

Royal Canin 28 is what I feed my Yorkie and she would not eat any dried food before this , only wet food, Yorkies have very small mouths and the bite factor of Royal Canin 28 is specially developed for the small bite radius of Yorkies jaws. I am not suggesting this for all Yorkies but it worked well for mine. S/W

I buy natural balance at Petco but some other pet stores may carry it. My pups are eating the maximum nutrition dry and even the tiny 1 pounder can chew it. I don't dare feed them the roll much at this point they would not want anything else. Its to yummy I guess. My adults get the sweet potato and fish but it is a larger piece to chew so the pups don't get that one yet. Of course a bit of warm water would soften it up if needed but mine seem to crunch it up ok and I try to teach them to eat dry food.

growing that fast is not abnormal at 14 weeks. Your yorkie is a baby! When I got Archie at 5 months, he was 6 lbs. 3 months later, he was 8 lbs. Now at 11 months old, he's over 10 lbs. I am going NUTS with dog food, by the way...I can never find something that he and I are happy with, or atleast for the long run.

Does anyone know if the Natural Balance Beef Roll would cause my pup to gain weight fast. He loves it, so that's what I feed him with Nutro Natural Choice Ultra Puppy dry available to him as well, but since I've been feeding the roll in the last month, he seems to be getting heavier.
