| Is grass a normal part of a yorkie's diet? Bunjee loves to chew on grass when we're out at the park. I'm wondering if grass is a normal part of a yorkie's diet. If so, maybe I can get one of those pet grass from the store so that he can have it available at home to eat/chew on. |

| I am not sure it is a normal part of their diet but all mine love grass. hey it has never yet hurt them so I don't have a problem with them eatting my grass at home here as I know what has been in it... |

| It's safer to add a bit of green to their diet than allow grass eating. There are many chemicals and possible nasty germy stuff they could be ingesting with the grass. Puree Romaine lettuce in the blender with a bit of water and add a small spoonful to kibble if you notice pup going for grass. It's easiest to just do a bunch and pour into ice cube trays, freeze and keep in a freezer bag until needed.

| yeah, i was concerned about what's in the grass outside at the park, and since i don't have a yard, i'm thinking about getting a carton of pet grass for him to chew on. i'm kinda meticulous about what he eats and does not eat and he's had no apparent stomach issues of late. |

| I've been curious on this issue for some time now......I have heard so many different opinions....it is like food, treats, etc.....I think I will ask the vet. I have bought the cartons of grass before and have taken them with us on the road and camping and such....just because I heard it was good for upset tummies. I don't know though....I will add that to my looonnnnggg list to ask to vet.
