| Jackson is not doing so well this morning... This morning we noticed that Jackson was shaking. Not shaking like he was cold or scared, or like chihuahuas do (hehe)... but wobbling like he was drunk! even when he was sitting with his head up, his head was wobbling from side to side. We could tell that he didnt feel good, and we wonder if he might have gotten into something that made him sick. I dont want to jump to conclusions and take him to the vet right away, because i cant really afford it. But, if he isnt better by this evening when i get off work, i will definatly take him in. So for right now, daddy is at home with him keeping an eye on him, making sure he drinks plenty of water and is resting. I hope this is nothing serious!!! P.S.... i found our digital camera! so i will have some pics posted soon of out precious baby Jackson. Ashley & Jackson |

| I would at least call the vets office and tell them what Jackson is doing, they will tell you whether or not to bring him in. How old is Jackson? Doesn't sound normal for him to be shaking like that...I am sorry I can't be much help but let us know how he is feeling tonight? Gina |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | How BIG is Jackson ? I would try a little Nutracal (you can get this at most pet stores) or Honey or Karo Syrup if you see him lethargic ..or his head bobbling.... but this also could be something that really needs a vet to diagnose...GOOD LUCK ! |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Cali had a very similar episode last night. She has gone hypoglycemic before but this was different. She is 7 months old and nearly 4 lbs. I took her to the Er vet twice last night and 550.00 later they don't know what was wrong. They gave her IV fluids dextrose and she is much better today. I would definately call your vet they can go down hill so fast. I will keep you both in my prayers. I know how scary it is. I haven't slept 36 hours! They thought she had gotten into medication but we don't think so now. Good luck and keep us posted.

| I would take Jackson to the vet and discuss doing a complete blood profile. It will give a lot of clues as to what is going on with him. Give your sweet baby boy a hug! |

| I have had my 6 month old baby Jackson (hence the user name) for about 3 weeks. We have absolutely fallen in love with eachother and the past 3 weeks have been great. This weekend, i found out something SO funny and cute. HE LOVES BOTTLE CAPS! Water bottle caps, milk jug caps, oh my goodness he goes crazy. He can play with one for hours, pouncing on it and then running away from it. At one point, i looked over and saw him surrounded by caps. He aquired quite a little collection. I just thought that was funny and i would share it with everyone! xoxo Ashley & Jackson Ashley, is it possible that Jackson swallowed part of a cap? Maybe he has an obstruction, is he peeing and pooping? |

| thank you all for your advice! i just got an update from my fiance, and as of this afternoon jackson is doing just fine! its wierd, this morning he was pretty lethargic and you could tell he didnt feel good. but now he is his happy self, running around playing with daddy and his caps again! no more wobbling, and he is eating and peeing/pooping fine. of course im not just going to overlook this episode... you guys are right, he could be hypoglycemic or it could be seziurs. ill have him checked out soon. im just glad he feels better! i cant stand to see him ill. xoxoxoxoxo!!!

| Hey Ashley - I just went through the same exact experience with Lily. She was a bobble head and was falling over because she hadn't had any food! I have no idea what your feeding habits are or anything else, but I was only feeding her once a day ( to try and control the pooping! ), which was NOT a good thing. Her sugar was definitely low. I have now started leaving her food out all day. At 15 weeks, she needs to eat more, so she gets it whenever she wants it. I also got some Nutrical from my vet and she gets a little bit every morning. She is a new dog. Honestly, it has made a world of difference in her, and Yorkies are notorious for being Hypoglycemic. |
