| Any truth to this idea? I have a friend that does rescues for a living and she has said to me that hard kibble has to be made so fast and at such a high temp that it changes the molecular structure of the food and that is part of the reason for the sharp rise in cancers with dogs and cats. I have since been using only high quality canned and home made meals for Izzy, but now with the new puppy, Huck, we were given kibble and told to transition him over to solely that soon. I’m happy to make food and add vitamin powder since we have an instapot. Any ideas or input is appreciated! |

| Total misinformation! There are many people on the web and in pet stores who spread all this crazy stuff and have no idea what they are talking about. BTW: rescue is not a way to make a living!! Here is a great link about animal nutrition. There is a TON of free information there and it was founded by a highly qualified veterinary nutritionist. Her resume is on that site. There is a library with crazy amounts of information...but if you cannot find something, you can contact them with a question and they do answer! https://www.petdiets.com/ ALSO....home cooking is great but you MUST use supplements and the diet MUST be properly balanced. This is another site that is great and also founded by a vet nutritionist: https://secure.balanceit.com/ez/index.php?rotator=NewEz

| Doing rescues doesn't make you a vet and unfortunately people want to try and say this about anything involved with dogs like they will blame in on shots and everything else they can. A lot of cancers and issues are straight up due to bad breeding and genetics. We have may more bad breeders then good so we have way more dogs out there with bad genetics. I hear a lot of nonsense about kibble and really all it is, is nonsense that can not be backed by any actual science and its mostly a company selling their food or supplement that puts it out and then people start echoing it. There is nothing wrong with kibble especially if you go with one that has Vets on staff and actually uses science in their formulas like Royal Canin.
