| Yorkie ate choc. cookies Hi all, My 10 lb. yorkie (7 y.o. and healthy), Ruby, just ate 2 or 3 chocolate mint Girl Scout cookies that I had thrown in the trash! Should I take her to the emergency room? It scares me to death!! I definitely won't be giving her dinner tonight and will be watching her like a hawk! She's drinking water but nothing out of the ordinary. This happened about 30 minutes ago. Thank you for any advice. |

| Call your vet ask them. If vet is closed you can call animal poison control 888-426-4435 another one is 888-232-8870 there are fees with both numbers or go to www.justanswer.com/sip/poisoning?r= I am sure there is a fee for this also. Please let us know the outcome.

| Yorkie ate choc. cookies Well vet is closed and I googled - there was a very specific answer to that very cookie and it said there's mostly fat and sugar in the cookie and the most it would probably do would be to give her diarrhea and upset stomach. I'm limiting her dinner to about 1/3 of normal and refreshened her water (which she loves every day). If we have an uneventful night, I'll not post tomorrow but if anything happens, I'll be sure to keep you updated! Glad you guys are here!! Thank you!! |

| You should keep those phone numbers perhaps on your fridge for "just in case" one day down the road. I have them in my cell phone, but my vet is a 24/7 365 fully staffed vet. But still, ya never know. Hope everything goes well with your baby.
