| Bladder Cancer My 12yr. old Yorkie; Lola has been diagnosed with bladder cancer. Thru a ultrasound they saw a large tumor in her bladder. She does have blood in her urine. From what my vets had told me there is not much hope for any type of cure for dogs. Sounds like all I can do is make her as comfortable for whatever time that she has left. Has anyone else dealt with bladder cancer in their dog. If someone has I was wondering if anyone has gotten into some sort of treatment. |

| I am so sorry your Lola is this ill. I have not had a dog with bladder cancer but I have heard it is quite serious as it usually is not operable. The one question I would have is how they know for sure it is cancer. Did they see cancer cells in the urine? I don't know if it is possible to have a growth that is not a neoplasm. You might want to ask that question. If you want to be absolutely sure of your choices and you have not seen a specialist, you might want to see one. You can find one at: www.acvim.org

| They determined it was cancerous from the size and shape of the tumor from the ultrasound. It measured around 28mmin one direction. Also the white cells in her urine sample were at 15 which is very high. |
