| My Blake Hello all! It's been awhile since I have posted here, since 2013! Wow! Time has flown. My Blake is going on 9 years old and has been a total delight. He has been in excellent health, until this last Thursday. He suddenly stopped eating, was very quiet and wanted to sleep all the time. I took him into the vet and she told me he was running a fever and that she had given him fluids and put him on antibiotics. I had to take him back on Saturday morning because he vomited and still had not picked up. The vet ran test and x rays and said he was still running a fever, his spleen was enlarged slightly and that his white blood cell count was high and that the red cell count was a little low. He was also anemic. So she changed the antibiotic, put him on steroids and vitamins. I had to bring him in for test on Monday and his fever was gone and the blood cell count was better and to bring him back tomorrow for another set of tests. Has anyone ever had their baby do this? If so, what was the cause? The vet seems to think that Blake has a bacterial infection but I'm still worried. He is usually so active and happy but he still isn't himself. |

| I can't help you with what Blake is experiencing. I know how much we care about our furkids and hope he is improving. Please keep us updated after your vet visit today on how he is doing.
