I found a link with all of the complaints submitted from dog owners to FDA before and after their report in 2018 was published. For those concerned about this topic I think it's worth checking if the food we feed came up in complaints. There's a LOT of grain free Acana, but I just checked again that the one we give was not mentioned. When I'll have time I'd like to read them one be one. Worth noting that Wellness's CORE line is mentioned there in several complaints, but it might have been after the report. Also, out of hundreds complains only 5 of them are yorkies. https://www.fda.gov/media/128303/download

| I’m sorry but I do not know anything about either of the foods you have asked about. I believe at one time there was a pet nutritionist on this group but that has been quite some time ago. I did get some help by calling Chewy and telling them what I was looking for. Then I called the dog food company and talked with their nutritionist. Good luck! Lisa |

| I was ready to order this food and first read all of the questions & answers. One revealed that one of the ingredients either comes from China or “sometimes” comes from China. Not a chance I am willing to take. |

| There are certain things handed to dog food that can only be sourced from China sadly and that’s will pretty much every pet food. I think it’s a mineral or something.

| The food itself looks ok no red flags to me. I don’t know enough about the company right now. You want to make sure they have actual vets on staff, do feeding trials and have good quality control. I’m a huge fan of Royal Canin and Wellness because they are great trustworthy companies. If you want to you can pm me what kind of food your looking for and why and I can look around and do some research after Callies appointment with the internist tomorrow.

| Yeah I’m not sure that’s a huge issue like if they were getting a meat source or something.

Nutro is on that list. You should keep a copy of this FDA list.

Thank you so much for your guidance. We are transitioning from the RC Digestive Care to Wellness Small Breed Limited Ingredient Salmon and Potato. We are currently at 50/50 and will soon go to 25/75. So far so good. They both really seem to enjoy it. The kibbles are small and crunchy. Their constipation and chewing on their feet seems to be improving. I am very grateful for the suggestions shared in these forums. Lisa
