| Anal Glands Bunjee started dragging his butt on the floor so while at the vet's today, I asked that they check and express his anal glands. I'm curious to know, how is this done normally? at vet's? at the groomer's? DIY? And how much does it normally cost? The vet's going to be charging me about $20 to do it. Didn't know if that was a bit high or about right? |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Some groomers do it everytime with every dog. Some, you have to ask. Vet's do it when asked but if you're just going in to have that done, they might charge you. Some people learn from their vets or groomers how to do this. I, for one, won't unless I absolutely have to. It can be very nasty and that's why many will do it while they are bathing their dogs.
