| Flea and tick medicine My 14 year old Yorkie has bad reactions to the flea and tick medicines. I have tried several of them, and they make her extremely nervous, tremors, vomiting, loosing her balance, etc. I took her to the vet, and her blood panel is fine. All the vet says is “we will report this to the company.” I feel like this stuff is poisoning her. Presently, I put her on revolution because she couldn’t handle nextguard. Has anyone tried a holistic vet, or a natural product. I pulled off an intact encouraged dog tick off her two weeks ago. I put revolution on her last week, she is finally calming down from it, but I am worried about it. She weighs about 6.9 lbs. the product is for 5.1 to 10 lb dogs. So, she is getting a lot of product in the dose. Please advise

| You can try holistic but you can not go holistic for heart worms you must give a heart worm medicine.

| Flea and tick It seems like since she has gotten older, she does not tolerate it as well.

| Callie had a problem with all topicals and she is larger at 17 pounds so it surprised me. You said nexguard didn't work but that's was we switched to and no issues with any . All pups are so different some can tolerate anything some can't. I do hope you find something. Are fleas and ticks a big issue where you live?

| We use Seresto collars for our boys and they work amazing, no side effects, no goo on their necks/backs, 1 collar last 8 months. The rest of my family has made the switch from topicals to Seresto collars and love it. Was recommended by my vet, it's what she uses on for dog. |

| I have 4 pets,2cats and 2 dogs. This year I thought I'd try amber necklaces and none of them had fleas or ticks, highly recommend!! plus it's about $20 for one,so much cheaper and no horrible chemicals! |

| Flea and tick medicine Thanks for all of your replies. Cocoa is 5.9 lbs. I took her to the vet a couple days ago to get a blood panel done. She did mention a collar for flea and ticks, it might have been seresto. She keeps trying to scratch between her shoulder blades where the revolution goes. I put a pheromone collar on her last week, which has calmed her down. I guess I will change to seresto. That means three collars!!! Will I be able to put her I.d. Tags on the seresto collar? What heart worm medicine do you guys use.?
