| Oral Papilloma Looking for anyone that has oral papilloma experience . I just noticed one on Mya's gumline about 2 weeks ago. She's 9 years old and I know it's common in aging dogs as they're immunocompromised, so I immediately started her on an immune system boosting supplement. It hasn't gotten bigger but it's tough to tell if it's gotten smaller. Today I also noticed a teeny tiny one on in side of her cheek right where the original papilloma touches. I went to the vet and they confirmed that's what it is. They said it could take 5 months to a year to go away!! It's not bothering her - it just bothers me knowing it's there and I'm terrified she's going to end up having them all over her mouth. I hate the idea of sedating her to remove it, especially since that doesn't fix the virus - it just removes the growth. Any help or advice welcome! I couldn't figure out how to get a picture upload to work here unfortunately!

| What I was reading says your vet needs to do a biopsy and it can become cancerous. They also say sometimes they need antibiotics and that they can be painful for the dog. If she is due for a dental you could do it at the same time. It looks uncomfortable.
