| My moms had it and my older girl has it. I would not do surgery it's still experimental and dosen't work a lot. With my moms yorkie they did hydrocodone and it worked. My girl isn't bad enough to do anything for.

| trachea collapse Hello, My 13.5 yr old male, Gabey, has it and if it is muggy, hot or tired he might start his coughing. I asked a vet and they recommended prescription drugs, a narcotic, which put him to sleep, certainly stopped this coughing for a while. I went on line and found an all natural product for this condition, called Throat Gold. Created by vets only, it has excellent reviews. The air got dryer and he stopped coughing and rarely does it, so I haven't tried Throat Gold yet. The amount I bought was a small vial, sufficient for over two months of twice daily applications, usually 2-3 drops twice a day, mixed with honey. It cost about $40 but, I'm glad I have it on hand, in case. FYI. Matt |
