| Only eats fish ._. don't know if i'm feeding complete diet? Hi all! I have finally found something my picky yorkie will eat. I have given up on kibble, and moved on to cooking for him a few times a week. It's a hassle, but it makes me happy knowing he's eating 2-3 times a day now, rather than once with kibble and then sticking his nose up at it. My regimen for him right now is : a filet of tilapia (frozen from vons) brussel sprouts some broccoli some potatoes or brown rice a sprinkle of parm. is this a complete enough meal? am I missing anything? I don't want to be depriving him of nutrients. |

| No you need a recipe from a vet nutritionist and you have to add a supplement. You can find them on balanceit.com. If you don't use a supplement you will be doing harm to your dog then good.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Fish is actually an excellent protein for dogs - so don't worry about that part - the protein source is a great one! But you absolutely *do* need to balance the diet correctly and have the correct supplementation for whatever is missing. But here's an easy way to "homecook" - get U-Stew or similar - and all you have to add is the fish - that's it - balanced! Here: https://www.knowbetterpetfood.com/co...-stew-for-dogs
