| Revolution works for us, but we don't take our Bella outside very much, and when we do, we avoid areas that might have large populations of fleas and ticks. Revolution is a topical (drops you place on the back of the neck once a month), and controls fleas, dog ticks, and heartworms. They also make it in smaller doses for dogs under 5 pounds. |

| I like nexguard. I'm not a huge fan of topicals and my girl doesn't seem to do well with topicals.

| Our Yorkie lives on our farm and spends much time outside..He gets a fair share of ticks and fleas especially when he spends time at the pond getting water moccasins which he pulls from holes in the ground... |

| We've been using Nexgard and recently Simparica with good luck.

| Two weeks ago he went down into a hole beside my pond and I pulled him out by the butt..When he came out he had large water moccasin in his mouth that he began shaking violently which kept it from biting him. While I was trying to kill it with a shovel he went back down into the hole and came out with another ..I was able to kill the second one but not the first one.. |

| I have used Front Line since the day it hit the shelves and Front Line Plus, it's a topical applied to the back of the neck once a month. I have used it on 5 yorkies and never had a flea or tick on them. I live in a heavily wooded area. Last July my vet gave me Simparica a chewable that is given once a month, I will see how it works, if I get one flea or tick I will go back to Front Line Plus. I must admit do like the chewable, I am hoping I get good results.

| As a foot note...your question would also apply to all topicals and chewables.
