| Abscess type sore - time for the vet? Hello, Was hoping for some help identifying a sore that has developed on our yorkie. He's been licking at his paw a lot lately and when we looked we found this abscess like sore. Was going to see what happens with it, but then noticed another sore that developed near close to his eye on the snout. The one by his eye looks rather inflammed and painful. Don't know if this is something contagious that spread from his paw to his face. Wanted to see if anyone has experience with these sores before we took him to vet. thanks in advance Resized.jpg |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | It's hard to see much via the pic - it looks like a lump, but I can't tell if there is any open flesh or scabs or oozing and such...so I can't make a guess. Since he licks it, I'm really glad you're going to the vet - esp w/ the eye involvement!

I thought the pic would show up better than it did. Tough to see much with it at that size. It's more of a bump than open flesh or scabs. Haven't noticed any oozing. thanks for your feedback, appreciate it! | |
