| My dog is very picky need advice on food I have a 1 yr old yorkie she is super tiny about 4 pounds I'm currently feeding her blue when I got her from my breeder she was feeding her nutrisource so I was continuing to feed her that and i noticed that she wasn't eating it as much and was eating my mother in laws yorkies food which is blue from their bowls so I went ahead and switched her to blue but now she does not eat much of it now unless I soak it or feed her by hand and even doing that she won't at times I just feel she is a little thin I can feel her spine bone but not to the point were she is malnourished.. I just adopted a chihuahua for my daughter which they were feeding him simply nourish but i dont like it because its making his skin have flakes and i want them to be on the same food but I have no clue what to put them on so they both get a good food that's not so costly... like royal canin or wellness as I cannot afford that each month any advice would be much appreciated thank you... And I also been giving her nutrical and treats which she loves and eats always Last edited by PrincessNella; 03-13-2016 at 04:18 PM. |

| She will not fall over dead from starvation. She WILL eat....she has you jumping thru hoops and running in circles, trying to luck out and hit on some "perfect menu" that this baby has decided you will tear around 24/7, presenting her with hundreds of available foods....PLEASE! If she has no medical issues that demand she eat a prescription diet, decide what she likes and serve it and STAY with it, as long as she physically tolerates the food. I would be going back to whatever you initially changed it to because you have two dogs and they are on the same food etc....She WAS eating it, then YOU decided when she slowed down or stopped eating it that day, you would soak it, then you decided to hand feed it...she didnt ask you to do that and BELIEVE me, she will NOT drop over dead from starvation! She will eat what is served....quit catering to a 4 lb dogs whims! You have decided on a food, she initially enjoyed it..... feed it and she will eat it when she gets hungry. I promise you, she will not die of starvation before she eats, if it was a food she initially enjoyed and her system TOLERATED.... I think someone suggested you just change it until you find something she likes???!!! Dont even GO there! WHO is the pack leader in your household? If that pup is not making a paycheck, bring in funds to finance the living arrangements around there, not watching kids, not paying bills, not cooking, not cleaning, etc, YOU are the leader of the pack! Establish that to her! SHE does not dictate to you how YOU function!!! You decide on a food she was eating and enjoying, and that is what she gets! | Try Wellness They have a dry food for Toy dogs. I have fed my yorkies Wellness and they love it! Blue Dog Food I feel always left a horrible smell in their stools and it is way Overrated by Marketing. It is far from the best food out there. I have seen alot of dogs not like it and it gives them watery stools, etc. Just my Opinion. Too Expensive For Poor Quality Dog Food! |
