YT Addict | Changes in coat over the years Hi folks, long time no post! I thought I'd put this out there because I've seen differing views on the subject and I may have even asked this before, but do many of your Yorkies have coats that change drastically over the years? Jenna started out with a very thin coat...then it changed to a very fluffy, silky coat that had lots of long fronds and fluff, now she is 8 years old this May and her coat is barely growing between cuts and is very cottony and broken. I'm worried I'm doing something wrong, either with her bathing/trims or her nutrition... or even our environment and how dry it is might play a role. Could I get some of your grooming regimens and see if I need to adapt something to help her fur grow out beautifully again? She just looks so tatty to me and I can't help but think it is a statement on her health in general. Many thanks in advance!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Do you think she maybe needs some fish oil or coconut oil...?

YT Addict | Thanks for the reply, Wylie's Mom! I could probably do the coconut oil, but even fish is out due to her protein sensitivity. Would that be a topical or should I put it in her food? She eats Dick Van Patten's Natural Balance Vegetarian kibble.
