| Eye problem My yorkie has had an eye problem for about 3 years now,she is 4 now.It gets thick with gunk the vet I took her to said all I could do was to keep the eye clean and lubricated as its a common problem with yorkies. It seems to be gradually getting worse and her eye looks cloudy. He did say she may go blind in the eye...does anyone elses yorkie suffer with this problem? |

Vets are like family doctors--Great group of people but they are not specialists. In this case you need to take her to see the specialist. Please keep us updated. | |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | If the eye is getting cloudy, it could mean a cataract..for which you absolutely *must* get special drops or you could lose the eye entirely. There could be other things going on here too, like micro-lashes growing into the eye, causing irritation. If I were you, I'd see a Vet Ophth.
