YT 500 Club Member | Ring(worm) around the Toby I noticed a perfectly circular bald spot on Toby's chest. it was raised and strange feeling so i looked it up and I'm pretty sure it's ringworm. How do I manage to keep the other two from getting it? I'm treating it and it looks like its receding, but it says it's highly contagious and hard to get rid of. no other spots have appeared so far on him or Izzy or Maddy...20151118_225844.jpg 20151118_225719.jpg |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Oh gosh....what a pain! Well, my Marcel caught ringworm from his vet when he was a puppy, and our Wylie never, ever contracted it while we treated it...and we didn't do anything really special...

| Sounds like you didn't take him to a vet....highly suggest doing so. It may not be ringworm.

YT 500 Club Member | well, if it hadn't of started clearing up I would most definitely do so. But it hasn't spread and is actually getting better now. Normally I'd have all the time in the world to freak out and take him to the vet right away, but I started a new job 4 days ago and Madlyn was just spayed so I've had my hands full. If it doesn't clear up completely real quick here, Ill have my roomate do so . But I do plan on taking him with me when i go in a couple days to have Madlyn checked on all points . Toby gets vicious and frantic evry time anybody but us tries to touch him so vets visits are dreadful. |
