I was told they have to consume quite a large chunk of chocolate! I had droped a piece of a peanut butter cup wrapping with chocolate laced that was stuck on the edges of the inside wrapper, and I called my vet and informed me it wouldn't hurt her! just dont make it a habit (droping it not eating it) lol

Not to worry I am a terrible mommy, but both my boys, 5 and 6 pound yorkies, get to split aa half of a pnut butter cup several times a week. You have nothing to worry about, your pup will be fine. Chocolate in large amounts is toxic to dogs, a small amount will not hurt them.

Just so you will know...... I doubt a tiny amout of chocolate will be harmful, but do watch him and be careful about what they can get to and into. In december 2003 I had been shopping and buying up several things needed for baking for the holidays....I had a grocery sack with 2 bags fo dark chocolate chips and 2 large blocks of melting chocolate....I left the bag laying in the floor by the stairs so whoever went to the basement next could put it up on the shelf. At the time we only had Lori, the greyhound, and she had NEVER chewed up ANYTHING or gotten into ANYTHING.....she was a true 'couch potato' During the night my husband heard something kinda 'bumping' around...he got up and found Lori chewing and dragging one of those melting blocks around....she had ALREADY finished off 2 bags of dark chocolate chips!!!! I KNEW how toxic dark choco was and almost freaked out....my hubby, the dummy, just thought she would get a bad belly ache...I called the 24 hour clinic and they told me to give her peroxide...make her vomit and get her to emergency ASAP!!!! Well, the peroxide worked VERY WELL!!!!! she heaved up 2 HUGE piles of the sweetest smelling puke I have ever had the pleasure of cleaning up.....Actually, we had to use the big snow shovel to pick them up.....(we had her in the bathroom so I could SEE WHAT CAME UP!!!! I talked to the 24 hour clinic and they said likely she had 'just' ate it and no harm done....but take her to the vet in am.... All that said to say this..I never knew you could give a dog peroxide to induce vomiting...so be sure you have some around..and with a good expiration date......I have since given some to Apple, the chi, who thought it would be fun to eat some fire any poison!
