| Picky eater- help! I have an almost 2 year old Yorkie who just won't eat his kibble after a few days. Most brands don't have those very small bags that i can alternate with which was an idea a friend gave me because it's clear he prefers variety. I'm constantly being told if he's hungry enough he will eat but he goes so long without eating that he makes himself sick (throws up the foamy bile) and i don't like seeing him like that! It's not because he doesn't feel like eating, he gobbled that wet food right up when he was offered it. I'm being told that he's holding out for better and knows if he waits long enough he'll get it because i typically give in. So i'm supposed to just let him go days without eating until he realizes it's this or nothing?! That feels so mean . He was on Nutrience Grain Free for a while and was eating as i alternated flavours, then stopped until i mixed in wet and then i had to start mixing in Parmesan cheese and finally refused to even look at Nutrience, he literally turns his head away when i offer him his food. So we decided to switch foods and got a sample pack of Now Fresh and Go! by Petcurean, gobbled both kinds right up and even barked for more!! So naturally we bought a bag which he ate for a day or two and now won't eat again..I just want to find a food that he absolutely loves and can't get enough of..does that even exist? He is a Yorkie mix about 18lbs so he's not a wee little one going without food for that long but i still don't like him being hungry! I have a 4 month old pup as well and was told with two dogs they'd eat their food faster so the other won't get it..that's not the case in my house though..pup eats all his food then tries to eat Huxley's food while Huxley just waits for something better... What are your recommendations?

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hmmm...it sounds like you've probably tried all the tricks...Parm cheese, broth, mixing in wet etcetera. What about feeding just wet, and skipping kibble altogether since it's easier to alternate flavors / brands w/ wet since the packages are smaller...?

| I went through this for a while with my little one and I changed her to the Beef and Bison from Freshpet. This has also helped with her skin. I hope this helps. She has never turned her nose up at this lol!!
