Freshpet Select Puppy (rolled) Just want to get everyone's thoughts on it. Dog food advisor gives it five stars. I free feed Sheldon Royal Canin X-Small Puppy throughout the day and he gets a moist food once a day as well. Until now, I've just been trying different brands of premium canned foods. I decided today to give this a try and the ingredients look pretty good to me, and since it is a complete food, it seems to have more nutrition than typical canned foods as well. Another thing I like about it is that it is not wet, just moist enough to draw his attention, but it crumbles well in his bowl and it doesn't make his beard all nasty...lol. Also, he really, really likes it! Anyone with experience, mood or bad? Again, not his main food, just looking for the best moist food to add to his dry diet. Thanks

| We use Fresh Pet Vital chicken mixed with kibble our yorkies seem to really like it also it has some vegies. I cook chicken and mix it with their kibble rotating between the vital and they seem very satisfied. I do hope it is good because our babies like it so good and it isn't messy.

We are FreshPet fans here! I also enjoy it not being goopy like other wet foods and gunking up beards lol. If I'm visiting my family for a few days, I'll just pick up a bag of this on the drive over instead of fussing with cans. The pups love this food! It's not messy to serve and makes for small stools as well. We have fed both the roll forms and the bags with the moist kibble. The small bags probably last one dog about a week. We do put ours in the freezer if the amount we use won't be eaten after several days (which I suspect may be an issue for you if it's for supplemental feeding). I portion out the rolls before freezing and thaw out whatever amount by zapping it in the microwave for a few seconds or pouring a small amount of hot water over it. It might change the texture but the pups don't care at all.

I've been feeding it to Lola too. I like it because it keeps her beard clean and I can buy the huge one for $15, cut it up and freeze it in baggies. Then I buy another flavor in a small roll to mix up the flavor once in awhile.

Freshpet is crack for dogs. It's a great food, the only negative I found was the rolls have carrageenan in them which some see as a negative thing. (most canned foods have it) The bags do not have carrageenan. Well, there is another negative, Ali likes it too much. I know that's weird but she wakes me up for breakfast and gobbles it down too fast. It makes her a little food crazy. Anyone that has issues with picky eaters should try this. Good stuff.

We used it for a while, but found that part way through the roll, she would not eat it (the roll lasts for about 3 days), so we would have to open a new roll. After a couple of months, she pretty much stopped eating it at all, so we haven't used it in some time.
