YorkieTalk Newbie! | My Yorkie is just not herself Phoebe, AKA Phoebs and Phoebers is a 14 1/2 year old blonde and grey female. I dismissed a poor choice in male companions and got Phoebs, site unseen, long story. We now live in California, drove across country together, got married, moved into 2 new homes and she has a cat to contend with. Wanted to establish with new vet for annual exam. Two days ago she was diagnosed with CRF. Her numbers are really high, she sleeps a lot but will still play ball and go for short walks. I have the KD food and azodyl and ATB for an ear infection. Lots of water and bought a chicken she dearly loves and chopped some in her food and she devoured it. She weighed 7.1 for a decade and now weighs 5.1 so huge weight loss for her. I appreciated reading so many blogs about your Yorkies with renal disease. Thank you and I'll just take good care of her like I always have--she keeps me humble and grounded! DMP |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | She sounds so precious to you, and like she is in such good hands! I can see that despite her diagnosis, she will do just fine given how attentive and knowledgeable you are. You're on top of it. Keep us posted on how she does. And a big welcome to YT !

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk. I'm so sorry your lil senior girl Phoebe is in declining health. It sounds like she has had a great life, and I do pray for good quality of her remaining time.

| Welcome! I'm sorry to hear your Phoebe has renal disease, it's a horrible disease. I just lost my 15 year old boy to it a couple of weeks ago although he had other issues too. He did live with it for almost a year after being diagnosed, with Azodyl and sub q fluids. I hope your girl does well and you have her for a long time. Give her a hug from me.

| I am sorry to hear that your baby is sick. You are a great Yorkie mommy. Little Phoebs is very lucky to have you loving her. I wish you both the best.
