| I have feeding mess, help! I have two Yorkies, one is a very Kobe dog 9 pounds the other is a very small dog about 3 pounds, very dainty. One eats almost anything, to match in fact, and the other one won't eat at all and less there's a little competition between the two. It has gotten to the point where we have to drop the dry food on the floor one at a time in order to get the small dog to eat, competition with the big dog. I know what you're thinking the two dogs have us well trained!. How do we get out of this mess? |

| We are well trained too. Sorry I don't have any advice, but sounds like what we have going on here! Actually both of our dogs are good eaters.

| My feelings are, if that's the only way lil Miss Dainty will eat, so be it. As long as my babies eat I don't care what I have to do, I do it, just make sure your larger pup doesn't get the food. They have us soooo well trained. Spear the rod and spoil the child is my furbaby saying. Sorry I am of no help to you.

| Sometimes my boys are in competition too. But I have been strict from the start. They get their food at the same time in the morning on separate plates in diff corners of the kitchen. I leave it down for a few minutes and if one doesn't want to eat I pick up the uneaten plate and he doesn't get food until the evening. He knows now that if he's hungry he will eat and not mess around with trying to make the smaller one jealous. |

| Everyone eats the same thing at my house....Royal Canin kibble....I put it in a bowl by the water bowl, and they all eat when they want to eat. Mine are paper trained so running outside every 5 minutes for various dogs to go potty is NOT an issue. They all know we go out from 8am-12 noon....they usually just wait until they get to go out to do #2...they will pee on the pee pad on and off during the day as needed. They go back out from 4pm until dusk (6pm, 7pm) for the activity playground to wear them out for sleep at night, so bathroom breaks are not an issue! |

| When we first got Tawny she only weighed about 6 pounds at nine months old. We try to restrict her food but the only way we could is to feed her by hand. This is how our dilemma started. We purchased Tinkerbell about three months ago. She is a very small Yorkshyre terrier weighs about 2lb. I won't say the dreaded C word or I might get in trouble. We had to make sure she ate three times a day to get some weight on her. As I said the only way she'll eat it if there is competition between Tawny and her. What a mess I'm in! The other day my wife had had enough of this dog feeding mess so she tried something else. At feeding time she separated the dogs and gave them a small portion. Of course Tinkerbell would not eat just stood there with tears in her eyes looking at my wife. Tawny immediately kicked over her dish and ate two pieces and then started to cry, so said my wife. We are back to the routine and feeding mess. Even though we feed Tawny the same amount of food that we feed Tinkerbell, Tawny is still 9 pounds and Tinkerbell is 2 and a half pounds? |

| The little one is very healthy with no problems. When thay are that size thay tind to be very picky eaters. We are just lucky we have anther dog to incurrege her. The bog one has the health problems. She leaks and has a very delicate stomach and eats to much! |
