| Does anyone feed their Yorkie frozen raw pucks? I met a lady the other day, who also has a cute Yorkie. She highly recommended feeding raw food, sold in 'pucks'. Does anyone use these, or have any opinions on feeding these? |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Yes, I've been feeding pre-made raw for about 6 years now and I love it! I use either Primal or Nature's Variety. They come in bags of frozen nuggets/pucks/medallions...and you defrost them and feed them defrosted to your kiddo.

| Loll @ 'pucks', it must be a Canadian term. I also feed premade raw food, both frozen & freeze dried. Primal for frozen mostly and Stella & Chewy's for the freeze dried mainly.

HAHA! Yep, must be Currently, I am using Blue Buffalo kibble, and wonder if the raw frozen is comparable, as the woman stated it is? | |

For us, going raw was the best bc they have had zero digestive issues, which means no visits to the vet for tummy issues. They can eat different brands of premade raw food, also different proteins w/out any problems.

| We use premade frozen raw, and the dogs LOVE it and do very well on it. FWIW, I was born and raised in Texas and I refer to them as medallions, but that's only because that is how they are referred to on the bag. My dh was born in MA and he refers to them as pucks.

| I also feed pre-made raw. Kaji LOVES it!! No more struggling with him every morning before work to get him to eat his breakfast. He won't eat if I'm not home and there were far too many times when Kaji would eat his breakfast until 6 pm when I got home from work. I do only feed the freeze dried though, just because the raw patties give me the heebie geebies. Other than that, I have seen many benefits in my pup. He's still active and playful, his weight is down to his ideal weight. No more strain on his little LP knees. He was starting to limp, and that has stopped completely now that he's slimmed down. I will warn you, it's a lot pricier than feeding kibble.
