| Flavoring meds Does anyone use an online pet pharmacy that makes there dogs medicine a flavored chew? The vets office used to give me Callie's thyroid meds in a flavored chew but they had to go with a different company and it's a pain trying to get her to take her medicine twice a day. She can pick a pill out of anything and I hate to have to do the pill shooter twice a day every day.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Have you tried peanut butter or cheese, or does that not work? Otherwise, try calling Diamondback Pharmacy - they are a compounding pet pharm that flavors different things.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I use Diamondback Pharmacy for one of Ralphie's medicines, but it's really expensive, fortunately, it’s not a pill he needs daily, but just on occasion. I mean they are actually mixing the medicine that is not available in a pill form, not just making a tasty pill, although he does love it. I found the thing that works best for me is to melt a tiny bit of cheese, mozzarella works well because of the low melting point, but you could use any cheese Callie loves. Form it over the pill and allow to cool. If I use cream cheese or peanut butter some dogs will lick it off, but with the cheese method they swallow it whole without even chewing. You could make up a week’s worth and keep in refrigerator.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Braunschweiger? What's weird, is thyroid isn't even a strong tasting medicine.
