| Will only eat chicken My 9 year old Yorkie will not eat any dog meat - he's had the Baker trays and Caesar trays quite happily for the last 8 years but now will only eat home cooked chicken. I have tried mixing half a tray with some chicken, but he manages to pick his way through the chicken and leaves all the meat! Any comments will be gratefully received! |

| Does he eat dry food, too? I feel like if he has nutrients from dry food, you can get away with feeding him chicken every night. If it's too costly or inconvenient for you, just put the god you want him to eat out, and wait. Dogs will not starve themselves to death and he will eventually eat it. But if it's wet food, you will need to replace it every few hours so it doesn't spoil. |

| Will only eat chicken Thank you so much for your reply. Yes, Ollie always has dry food down which he does eat. Your advice seems very sound and I will certainly give it a try. A clean, empty bowl every evening will be a lot less stressful! |

| I have some kibble for Katie in case she's hungry while I'm at work since she doesn't eat in the morning. Mostly I home cook for her, but I supplement it with BalanceIt so that Katie's food is nutritionally balanced. You can get a very simple diet with chicken for a small fee from a vet nutritionist (who most likely will use BalanceIt too) or you can generate a recipe from BalanceIt. https://www.petdiets.com/Homemade-Diets https://secure.balanceit.com/tools/r...or/index.php?# Welcome to YT.
