| ![]() Has anybody had any luck with either if these two!? I fur baby is having allergy issues... The vet listed hills z/d or something like tat... or a Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein for him. i have him on Natures Variety Limited Ingredient Duck For 3-weeks now. hes having slight issues with his ears being a little red inside..... And a tiny bit of red tummy. I'm wondering if I should Bite the Bullet and just switch to the Royal Canin...? What do you think? |

| ![]() I have used the RC for several years with Pebbles. It's been the only thing that has worked for her. She would scratch all the time with all other foods. I had literally tried every food and asked if we could try it. Recently I switch Bogey because he started having anal gland issues and the vet said possible allergies. So that left Doodlebug and now he's eating it too.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | ![]() Are you sure it's food allergies, though? Did you do an elim diet to see? Bc food allergies only account for about 10% of dog allergies - the rest are enviro.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I am LOVING this!!! I feed RC to all my dogs and have done so since the '70's, with excellent results....from conception to death, my dogs enjoy this food! This is yet another fine example of "evidence based outcome"!!! Another success story! I certainly do hope continued success with your pup and this food! | |

| ![]() I get my RC through the RC Breeders Program, so the formulas are the same but the name on the bag is different....some of mine eat the Pro Mini Adult, some eat the Pro Mini Yorkshire Terrier.....some are eating the formula for breeding dogs......there is a mini indoor adult #28.....some of mine are eating the breed specific formulas, others like the mini adult formulas......as long as it is Royal Canin, I am confident and comfortable feeding it, and have always had great results from any of their formulas. |

| ![]() I have the girls on Royal Canin for puppies #29 and they are doing good with that, Also Wellness puppy grain free, I mix 1 cup Wellness with 2 cups royal canin, I also make them turkey burgers You take 1 cup of low sodium chicken broth and 1/2 cup couscous and mix together, let that stand until the broth is absorbed , cut up 1/3 cup fresh parsley and 2 lbs ground turkey, mix all together, then put 2 Tablespoons olive oil in a pan and fry them, I use a 1/4 cup measuring cup so each patty equals 1/4 of food and I give them each a burger for breakfast They love them Also cut out all treats for awhile and then when you reintroduce treats make sure they are 100% natural Hope this helps If not the next step is a elimination diet, You can try Buffalo, venison, duck, lamb etc and just eliminate one at a time until you find the best one for your baby, I have a good friend who uses Blue |
