| Which Food... I've had my baby Zadie for about a month now. I put her on Royal Canin Puppy YT. I have noticed that the past couple weeks she has been itching a lot. I think it might me the food. I want to try her on Blue Buffalo, but I wanted some thoughts on this as well as what is the best way to introduce new food without making her tummy all yucky. |

| Are you slicker brushing daily? Do you see dandruff? What was the breeder feeding? Licking paws, runny eyes, sneezles? |

| Food allergies are pretty rare it's probably more like environmental allergies.

| Yes Slicker brushing haven't seen dandruff. the breeder had her on some stater bros brand soft chew (she was scratching a little when I brought her home). Licking paws a little, nipping and scratching by tail and scratching at neck. No runny eyes or nose.

| To change to a new food, you'll want to gradually add the new into the old one and increase the amount of the newer food in the old until you're just on the new one. Over a period of 7 days is the usual recommend amount of time, but if they are a little sensitive to the change you can go a little slower.

| I just got my puppy and I too feed RC. I thought her treats might be causing her to itch. I was told exactly what Taylor said, food allergies were rare. She was itching for 2-3 days then stopped. Still don't know from what. Are you sure it's the food and not something else?
