I saw the Ice warnings all over FB the other day and by the evening news there was at least one vet who was debunking this as viral internet myth that had resurfaces yet again. All on mine love ice and stand under my feet whenever i use the ice maker on the fridge to catch a piece.

| I blame my Sonic addiction on my dogs wanting the leftover ice. They love it. If you don't know Sonic, they have the BEST ice. LOL

| Interesting. All of it! I'd say if it's natural for them to eat snow then why not fresh ice. Where are you Ms. Alaska? We need your advise. Ok I'm being silly!

| What you let them have as puppies affects what they can handle as they get permanent teeth. Sig our Heeler was always trying rocks as a pup until we finally broke that bad habit, but she never broke a tooth on them. I give Ginger ice cubes now, getting her ready for teething which will be starting soon. I think they learn how far to push it if started early with the baby teeth. |

I'm not big on proving things, it's my observations over the years, just like skin babies, you learn by burning your hand on stove or falling out of the cherry tree. Take that away and you have someone who never experienced what happens if you goof. I know Ginger tried to crush the ice at first, now she shaves it, I'd rather have her learn on temp teeth then permanent. Now the big question, wait for it Which is harder, a Ice Cube or a Steak Bone/Ham Bone ? But I'm sure no one gives dogs Bones, might break their teeth, lol! | |

| I have to add that even if your vet says ice is "Ok" - a veterinary dentist will not say that is ok!
