| Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Haven't tried this but it looks interesting. Are you going to try it? I've used PlaqueOff and liked it. It's a sprinkle you put on their food.

				   | lol mine hate brushing also but I just put this on my fingers and put it on their teeth...it's for their own oral health so we suck it up and deal...I do get a lot of stink eye though and Lola wont look at me for 20 minutes or so. hehe. Cant wait to see how you feel about this product.

				   | My vet recommended Wysong Dentatreat, it's something you sprinkle on their food. Jackson really likes it, too. It's like parm cheese. I use that and HealthyMouth, plus brush with CET toothpaste.

				   | I bought this about 6 months ago to try on Prince because his mouth was getting so bad. I'd seen it on TV and was looking for anything to help my pups bad mouth. I can't really say that it worked or not because Prince's teeth were gross beyond repair when I got the Plaque Blast. He just had a dental and lost all of his front teeth, with the exception of one top right canine tooth and he has some of his back teeth. On top of that, they say you have to spray 2-3 times a day and not eat or drink 1/2 hour after...maybe 1/2 hour before as well. I only sprayed once daily, sometimes twice and he HATED it. i will say....it seems like it did help a bit. It seems like his teeth where whiter. I am definitely going to keep on using it since his teeth are clean and because I can't get to his back teeth to brush. Does anyone else have any other ideas to help keep up with Prince's dental hygiene. He has such few teeth and they are WAAYY in the back where I can't reach them. I probably could wedge my finger back there but he won't open his mouth for me. I am worried his back teeth are going to rot out like his front ones did. Up until he got his teeth removed, he chewed on Dentasticks. I didn't think they did anything for him, since his front teeth were in such bad shape....but maybe the dentastiks did help....maybe they kept his back teeth clean?!? I can't give him dentasticks anymore. I am too afraid that he won't be able to chew the pieces up fine enough and he could choke on them. Everything I give him nowadays is soft....soft food, soft treats etc etc. I'd also be curious as to whether anyone else ha tried and has had success with the plaque blaster?!? |
