| How much do you feed your yorkie? Hi all! I have been wondering how much you feed your yorkies, small or big, wide or thin! ( The yorkies i mean ) I want to make sure my girl gets the best diet she can get. And do boys have more than girls? ( I think they do but i am not entirely sure! ) Do you measure in handfuls, cups or plastic food shovels. Should i use a plastic food shovel? Oh and what food do you feed your yorkie? I am thinking about mixing my girl's kibble with a little ( meaning about half a small tin - full pouch is 400g ) bit of chicken chunks in gravy jelly. I know it rots their teeth but i will only put a little in with mostly kibble. I want to start giving her set meals because i have kids around my house alot now and they reach out to the food and try it! I know ive spoilt her by not giving her set meals and putting it down on the ground all day but she goes and takes little bits every now and then. The only ways she would eat it all in one go is if id put canned food in with the kibble. Its her favourite! Sorry for making this quite long. Thanx!

| I have 2 yorkies, Chase (11-12lbs) and Calvin (5-6lbs). I feed them 2 times a day (6:30am and 6:30pm). For their breakfast, they get kibble (Now Fresh Grain Free Small Breed), Chase 1/4 cup and Calvin about 1/8 cup and about a tablespoon of Grandma Lucy's (dehydrated, then I add about 2-3 tablespoons of water to each) each. For dinner they get the same kibble and same amounts as breakfast plus about a tablespoon of canned food (Weruva). They don't get too many treats, but as a midday snack they get 1/2 cookie (Buddy Biscuit, Grandma Lucy's, or Sojos) if I'm home and if I'm at work they get a frozen Kong (with Honest Kitchen or Sojos, about a tablespoon, and half a cookie). These amounts work for my boys, although in the summer I give them more wet food with dinner because our walks are longer and they lose weight otherwise. We also brush their teeth every night. |

| Teddy (~9.5 pounds) currently gets 1/4 cup Earthborn Great Plains Feast twice a day with a couple heaping spoonfuls of canned food. Toki (~8 pounds) gets canned or homecooked food and I use a kitchen scale to measure it so she typically gets between 3 to 3 1/2 ounces twice a day (that's a little more than 1/2 a can of food or around 1 cup of most homecooked recipes). I try to be very on top of Toki's weight since she has joint issues so I don't eyeball or even use a measuring cup...gotta be a scale for us! |

| My boys eat canned Wellness and they get about 1/2 can a day...1/4 of it in the am and then again in the pm. I've also been adding chicken and rice to their diet a few days throughout the week. When they have their chicken and rice, I feed them 1/8 can at each meal with it instead of 1/4 can and I also do a vitamin as i know the chicken and rice alone is not a balanced diet. |

| Since Gracie is still so young at 12 weeks she is given a 5 ounce cup Earthborn Holistic Puppy Vantage around 8-8:30 a.m. when we start her day and allowed to free feed during the day. I pick her food up around 6p.m. as she nods off at 8pm like clockwork. At this age I would put more in her bowl if she ate up the 5 ounces prior to 6 p.m. tho.
