| Great news he's eating. I also have a very picky eater. I do mix in some cooked chicken liver with the kibble and that seems to really help alot. But, I'm really interested in the parmesan cheese, I'm going to try that as well. Please be careful when feeding raw and kibble. Both digest at different rates and if fed together or not far enough apart, can cause digestive issues. |

| Wow, I didn't know that. First I feed the raw, cause thats his main staple, and then I put down his kibble and then he was eating that, but I actually haven't noticed any problems with him or his tummy. How far apart do you suggest they be fed from one another? He doesn't seem to be in pain or anything. He seems very happy and perky. Quote:

| There's not much info out there about mixing raw food & kibble, yay or nay. Yes, they digest @ different rates & give off different pH in the gut. But we humans eat different things for our meals everyday & everything gets digested in the stomach. A dog's stomach acid is very acidic, so it can break down bone...why not kibble? I wouldn't mix the 2, raw & kibble, but I think it's fine to give as separate meals. But I prefer grain free, no potato, low carb canned food & premade raw for the other meal, so the pH is not on 2 separate ends of ea/other. It would make sense that it can cause tummy issues, but wish there was more info (scientific research) out there on the world wide web about this. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places...if anyone has more info, would greatly appreciate it. I've scoured the net & all I could find was this, it's old from 2003 but still very interesting: http://k9joy.com/dogarticles/dogfood01conditioning.pdf
