| Carsickness Remedy Does anyone have a good preferably herbal (not synthetic drugs) remedy for dogs who get carsick? Has anyone had a dog who is over a year old who still consistently gets carsick? I have never had a dog that got carsick more then when they are just super young puppies. |

| My moms male shih tzu always did. He had to ride in his crate with a cover over. It worked like a charm. I guess bc he wasnt able to see the movement it was prevented. Hope that helps.

| Ginger sometimes works. I used to use Ginger Snap cookies. For long trips, Cerenia is usually best.

| Callie gets car sick and it makes me so sad because she loves the car so much and I tried everything I could and nothing worked until she was put on hydroxyzine for allergies/scratching and she had taken it once when she needed to go to the vet and she did not throw up then I saw an article or something where someone said hydroxyzine worked for carsickness so I talked to my vet about it and that is now what we use when we have to go in the car.

| Cerenia did not work for us. Its major side-affect is nausea...go figure. Ian threw up about 30 minutes after taking it.

| The Thunder Shirt, and not giving Ian anything to eat within an hour of the car ride really works for us. I didn't want to have to give him meds every time we got into the car.
