Senior Yorkie Talker | What they said on taking to the get for sure. It is always good to have some nutrical at hand even if your puppy grows up to be an adult. If you don't hVe that, very small lick of raw honey should do the trick as well. I have read it somewhere months ago. Also, try finding organic chicken stock. Make sure it has very little ingredients. There are some ingredients to look out for that your dog should not have like garlic or pepper. But putting some warm broth into their kibble is good added nutrients. Having some banana is not bad at all especially since they help bind up a people and dogs. Plus they are full of natural sugar. Especially if you mash it with some organic peanut butter. You can use dog butter but it's cheaper to get the organic stuff. Natural should work too I guess.

| OP, how is your puppy doing, please update! Quote:
Karo surup or pancake syrup will be fine if you don't have nutrical. Also, be very careful when purchasing store bought chicken broth, many contain onions, it is toxic to dogs in any form. Many YT'er's make their own chicken broth @ home w/no seasonings & no onions.
