| Is it OK to alternate food flavors? Hi everyone!!! Hope all is well. Camrey has been eating Blue Buffalo since we got her last December. Started with Life Protection Formula Chicken & Oatmeal Recipe for Small Breed Puppies and when she turned 1 year in August we switched her to Life Protection Formula Chicken & Brown Rice Recipe for Small Breed Adults. This brings me to my question... Can I give her different flavors of the same brand of food? Like chicken one day, fish the next, maybe lamb after & then back to chicken? I think she is getting bored with her food. Unsure if it is OK to alternate. Help... I always get good advice from this group.... Thanks!

| It will take you forever to get through that many open bags of food with one little pup! My dogs aren't picky but I'll generally feed the same bag of kibble until it runs out and I'll rotate the proteins of the canned or dehydrated foods that I add in so you might consider that. To answer your question, it's okay to alternate foods if your dog can tolerate it. A lot of brands like Fromm and Nature's Variety promote some type of rotational feeding. |
