| OMG...did she really suggest that!?! I had to return some dog food to PetSmart and the girl asked me if there was a problem and I told her that my dog refuses to eat it. I also made the comment that dog food seems to make her have an upset tummy and I haven't found one that she will eat yet. I also told her that Piper's previous owner was feeding her bird seed so maybe that was why she had a sensitive tummy and she actually suggested that I mix bird seed in with her dog food!!! OMG...I wanted to reach across the counter and smack her alongside the head. Seriously??? Wow, what if she would have said that to someone who thought she knew what she was talking about??? Crazy!! I did end up buying a bag of Nature's Variety Raw Bites from Petco and she ABSOLUTELY LOVES IT!! I have been homecooking for her so I have started to transition her to the raw slowly and so far we have had no tummy issues at all!! Yay!! I think I will continue to homecook her breakfast and feed her raw for dinner (maybe try to mix in a little Nature's Variety Prairie kibble). I'm a happy momma right now because she is doing very well. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Thank goodness you didn't take the girls word for it. My husband is one of those people who think that store associates go through extensive training and the know inside and out all the information on the things they sell. (He's getting better. ) From my understanding bird seed can cause tummy upsets and seed are very high in fat. So glad you found a food that's working for her!

| Have you tried The Honest Kitchen Diet? That's what we feed our pup chase. Some of those people working in those pet's stores have no business working there IMO. John |

| I think a call to the store manager might be in order. What if that girl continues to hand out advice like that? Glad that you have found something that your baby likes. |

| One of my pups many years ago had rectal bleeding one night.... he was fine by the next day. The vet kept saying he probably ate some grass and informed me that a blade of grass can cut their intestines. I told him that he did not eat grass ... a couple of days later, Maxwell was eating something and I took it out of his mouth...it was a sunflower seed from the bird! I knew right then that the bird seed was what had caused the bleeding. So...yes, I do think you should call the store manager about that one!

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I am so sorry you had to deal with a person that just does not think. I would call the manager and tell them. I find though petco is not very helpful. On Nature's Variety, I love their stuff. I feed my kitties their Nature's Variety Instinct. They love it. I also get it from Amazon. I got the best price from them. Petco has two prices. One on line and then in store. Their in store is expensive.
