| Milk chocolate is not as toxic as dark chocolate, and that's a tiny amount. Chip is going to be okay. Kennebunk Veterinary Hospital - Veterinarian In Kennebunk, ME USA :: Chocolate Toxicity Calculator

| My previous dog, a bichon, got into my dads luggage and ate a whole Hershey bar, wrapper and all! No adverse effects at all, we were lucky! I'm sure you're ok with the one m& m! |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Joey always ignored chocolate, until one time he ate some, it actually takes quite a bit of milk chocolate to make them sick, but the bad news is once they discover chocolate, they will seek it out. I've read that one ounce of milk chocolate per pound of dog is lethal. So it would take about 5 ounces of chocolate the size of a small candy bar to really hurt most Yorkies, this also depends on the health and age of the dog. So hide all chocolate from now on!

We have had 2 chocolate incidents on our walks. Thankfully my boys obeyed the "drop it" command. First Max picked up a piece of Dove chocolate, but I don't think he was impressed with the taste. Then Teddy found a Cadbury egg. He looked like he was in heaven rolling it around in his mouth. It's amazing what they find.

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Chocolate only scares me at Xmas time It is the only time I keep any around. What really scares me is medicine tablets. I dropped one of my meds on the bathroom floor, and I just managed to stop Razzle in time from ingesting it

| My meds scare me too. I try to be extra careful! Bella is so fast, I know if I drop one she will grab it.
