| Dog puked and hasn't stoped making weird snorting sounds since - help Last night Huxley started making weird noises like he was going to go throw up so i put him outside and sure enough he did, his dinner. After that and up until now he's been what I thought was dry heaving but sounds like snorting. They have gotten shorter and father in between but he is still doing it. He's still eating/drinking/playing with his toys and acting completely normal other than the weird pig snorting sounds now. I looked it up and thought it could be reverse sneezing but he's still doing it, how long do the episodes normally last? Calling the vet today to see what they think. Last night the sounds were more violent for lack of a better word and i could swear he was going to puke again but never did. Anyone know what this could be? It's almost like he has a hairball stuck in his throat or something. He was just laying in his bed playing with his toys when it started. |

| Eating, drinking, playing with his toys, and barking for my attention as per usual while I get ready for work. He is still making those weird snorting noises but not quite as frequent and the episodes are much much shorter. Our vet said he may have a scratchy throat or something is stuck in there but if he is still eating and drinking they don't think it's anything serious but will look at him if we want. My fiance goes home in the afternoons and will tell me if he has gotten any better or not. I hope he is 100% better! |

| I would have the vet take a look. It could be reverse sneezing but it also could be collapsing trachea.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | If he has long hair (I'm not sure of his age) check to see if he has a piece of hair from the side of his mouth going down his throat.

Senior Yorkie Talker | Sounds like reverse sneezing. Our older Dachie does it a lot and Hollee does it more when stressed ie her Bath. But sometimes for no reason. Both of ours have never vomited though, I would say if it is still carrying on it would be best to have him checked. Then you have peace of mind that you have checked. Ax

| We went to the vet and he has kennel cough .. He hasn't been near any dogs so i'm not sure how that happened. He is on antibiotics to prevent other bacteria while his throat is susceptible and we just have to wait it out. My poor baby |
