Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Canine Caviar Galen has been on Canine Caviar Lamb and Pearl Millet for a couple of months now. He used to gobble it up. Now I am having a problem with him not eating it. It takes him a long time to eat breakfast and dinner. I mixed a little wet food. He ate it. My friend feeds Taste of the Wild High Prairie with Roasted Bison and Roasted Venison. She gave me a little baggie full. I crushed up two pieces and sprinkled it on the food. He gobbled it up. What I am wondering. Is it the smell of the food? TotW has a strong meaty smell. Does one of the other CC brands have more smell? I never had a problem with him eating before.

| That's interesting because Princess Sophie went through a phase where she wasn't very excited about eating her CC too! We have been adding a few green beans to her food and a few drops of water for moisture and recently she has been gobbling it right down, so I don't know what it is either. We have been adding frozen green beans to Hansel's food (due to him carrying a few pounds too many) and thought Sophie would like to have some too and it really has helped. I hope you find what you need for Galen very soon!

| I ordered a bag of Lamb and Pearl for the first time and was excited about starting to feed it but my two didn't like it either. I have to add 1/4 patty of Stella and Chewys on top or they don't eat it. I also add a few green beans once in awhile.

| Peanut wasn't interested in the Lamb. He liked it, but didn't love it. I would try the Open Sky- it has more of a stronger smell. It is Duck. Peanut loves it!

| Something that they enthusiastically ate when you 1st opened the bag, but after a few months, they stop eating it...it could be bc the fat &/or oils in the kibble got rancid. Freezing Dry Dog Food I have 4 mouths to feed, so a 12-14# bag is done in 2 months. I keep their kibble in the fridge in a lock tight tupperware. Have you tried moistening it in water? Mine all like it moistened & I mix some canned food for din din & they get hard kibble w/the protein of the week (this week is tilapia) crumbled on top for breakfast. Except Momo, he gets moistened kibble all the time bc he doesn't chew his kibble. Like Deanna mentioned, try a different formula. We stick w/the grain free versions. They love all of 'em, duck, venison & now they're eating fish/herring.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | That is good to know. I am so worried about buying a bag that he is not going to eat. Also have you tried Free-Range Buffalo Grain-Free ALS Dinner ?

| I just was placing an order on Chewy.com for more CC and noticed they are now offering the 4.4 lb. bags in Open Sky and Puppy formula for those that don't need the 12 pound bag.
