| Irritated Paws/Pads My Yorkie is biting and liking at his right front and left rear paws. He has never done this before. I have looked very closely at the pads and inbetween with a magnifying glass and I can't see anything. I wonder if anyone can recommend a paw soak that would ease this irritation? Thanks |

| I use Musher's Secret. It's not a soak. It's a topical ointment the consistency of Aquaphor. I put it on their paw pads at night before bedtime. It might help...it's worth a try Mushers Secret-all season paw protection for your dog

| So glad you asked this question! Last night in bed, I couldn't keep Princess Sophie from licking her right front paw. I will check to see if I find anything, she isn't licking right now, it's nap time. LOL Thanks again for asking!!

YT 2000 Club Member | dog Dogs can burn their paws if they are made to walk on hot concrete. I know you being a Yorkie lover will not have this but I am amazed at the number of people walking their dogs on the hot surfaces. I hope you find the reason for the licking. My Spud had a thorn up in his paw once and we finally found it. He is a paw licker and will do that for no reason I have noticed. |

| This can be a sign of allergies or even a sign of anxiety. If you can't see anything I would try wiping them with a sensitive baby wipe every time they come in from outside and if that doesn't work you may need to have a vet check them out.

| Thank you! I appreciate your help! I bought some soothing spray for his feet and I let him stand in some shallow warm water for a few minutes, he seems to be better and not licking so much now. |

| I've cut the fingers off a glove to make "socks" or used dog booties to cover the foot & get Teena's mind off her feet. A cone can also get her mind off them. When I can see rawness I use hydrocortisone which works great but shouldn't be used regularly.
