For my senior large dogs and my horse uses cosequine. It was recommended by my vet. My little guys are two young for joint supplements. My large dogs have become more active since on it. I buy mine at Costco and amazon. I am not sure if there is a small dog version.

Is glucosamine the same thing as cosequinn? That's what I use.

Glucosamine is an ingredient in Cosequin...all of the brands mentioned in this thread contain it as well as Chondroitin (I think all joint supplements contain Glu/Chon). Some of the supplements in this thread also contain other beneficial ingredients like Green Lipped Mussel or Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM).

Toki is almost 2 years old and has a grade 1-2 LP in the same leg that she had her FHO performed on...I've been giving her the Dasuquin daily and hoping that we won't need to have a surgery done on that knee...no issues so far but I have my fingers crossed. Jada is almost 7 years old and has grade 3 LP in both back knees. She was diagnosed at 2 1/2 years old and so far has no symptoms. My vet says she may never need surgery and that is my prayer.
