| OH goodness... I fed Gabby, and she picked around her old food! She ONLY ate the new food (only a couple pieces) and flung the old food out. I should've taken a picture of it. It was everywhere because she wanted to get to the good stuff! LOL Oh and is free-feeding ok? She's only around 3 months.. or should I be giving her a SET amount?? |

| I believe small puppies should have food and water available at all times. If you want to go to scheduled feedings, wait until the pup is a little older. Young puppies are very susceptible to hypoglycemia. If the puppy starts to be a little lethargic, it needsd help right away! They can go downhill very fast! Not trying to scare you, just stating a fact. Many people don't know this and it may be too late before they get help. We used to feed Nature's Variety Prairie (chicken and brown rice formula most of the time) and that's what our puppies ate. We fed the same food to all our dogs and they did very well on it. Now we feed Horizon (Legacy and Amicus) and Fromm (4 star formulas) foods. Our dogs have done very well on these foods and are the top recommended brands by the people at The Paw Depot where we buy our dog food.
