| No longer eating throughout the day. Hi Everyone! I have decided it's time to find out if this behavior is normal? We feed our mini Schnauzer (Hansel) once per day, in the evening around 4 pm. We have always had dry food in Princess Sophie's bowl throughout the day and evening (when we can keep Hansel from steeling it) and she has recently decided that she doesn't want her food throughout the day but will eat ravenously when we fix both dog food bowls for Hansel's 4 pm meal. When the DH fixes the late afternoon meal, he really does it up for both of them and they love it. They both get some green beans, boiled chicken, their dry food (Sophie gets 3 tbsp.), and a bit of water added to make gravy. We have always fed our adult pets once each day with treats throughout the day. My concern is that Princess Sophie is now about 5 1/2 months old, weighing 3 lbs. 13 oz. Is this behavior normal? I'm still leaving out food for her during the day but she doesn't touch it. Should I be concerned??

| i think she may just be following the pattern of the schedule you have with hansel. if you still leave out kibble and she's hungry shell eat it. as long as you know shes getting the amount she needs a day i wouldnt stress shes just on that schedule now. keylo used to eat 3 or 4 small meals and now is on the same schedule as lola and cedric and down to twice a day.

| Ya, I wouldn't stress on it. She will eat when she is hungry. When Peanut was a pup he barley ate. He still pretty much eats like a cat. He will eat his total amount which is 1/4 of a cup, but it will take him all day LOL As long as Sophie is healthy and eating you shouldn't worry.

| Thanks, I appreciate your kind words. I wondered too, if she was just falling in line with Hansel's schedule and I think you're right that as long as I still have food for her throughout the day, I shouldn't be worried. Thanks again!!
