| Fleas & ticks We just got Frontline for our little boy for preventive purposes and literally the next day after applying it he got a tick! :-( Anyone has suggestions as far as what is better? Frontline or K-9 Advantix? We are thinking if we should switch to K-9 instead. |

YT 2000 Club Member | Please be really careful using any stuff on a little dog. I am hearing that the Frontline doesn't work for some dogs. I am still looking for the safest stuff to use on my guys. I hate using any of these poisons. Little dogs are very sensitive. Did you read the post where a girl's dog died using Triflexis? That scares me. Research before using. Today I had to tell a couple not to buy that Hartz or Sergeants stuff at Walmart. Really bad. Why do they sell this stuff that makes dogs sick? I am very cautious with my precious Yorkies. |

| Frontline absolutely does not work for ticks where I live so I use Advantix but you will have to wait a month before you can try the Advantix.

| I live in deer tick land and for 13 years frontline has worked. Revolution doesn't cover the deer tick and advantix just is too much in my opinion. Good luck!

We use K9 Advantix as needed. Only about 3x a year in the warmer months. Seems to be all we need. Ticks can be pretty crazy here! But last year, I gave him one dose of Advantix in June and we never saw anymore ticks all summer so I never applied anymore. And he's outside all the time!
