| Oh, no...he's a fatty! Huey has always been an indifferent eater, even after changing to BB, which he seems to enjoy, so taking hints from other YTers, I bought a kong and have been putting his kibble in that. He loves it! If I put his kibble in his bowl, he just looks at it and starts batting the kong around, like he can't eat unless he works for it. I was rubbing his tummy this morning and he has a poochy belly!!!! He has always has a little narrow waist, so I picked him up and weighed him/subtracted mine and the little monster has gained 1/2 lb-from 7.5 to 8 lbs!! Nothing else has changed, except I now realize he is eating both meals daily (just a light 1/4 cup each) instead of 3 meals every 2 days, which is what he averaged eating from the bowl. I'm gonna have to cut back or start feeding from the bowl again or I'm gonna have a fatty on my hands!

| Now there's more of him to love...lol I wish he'd teach Chloe to eat her food. She doesn't like anything I feed her lately unless she's hand fed.

| Tell Huey not to worry, Max & Teddy are on a diet too. I think grandpa was overfilling the measuring cup and giving them too much kibble, which is really bad because my boys still get lunch (Max refused to give it up when he became an adult). We cut lunch in half less than a week ago and the boys have already lost 4 ounces. Get a baby scale -- they are much more accurate than the holding on a human scale and subtracting weight. Max loves the kibble in the Kong game. His first year, he wouldn't eat kibble out of his bowl. I had to hand feed or put it in the Kong. Silly boys!

Just tossing the squeeky pig a few more times...lol For the baby scale, I have one of those at work...hmmmm I already took him in the ER one day to pick up my paystub. Next time, II'll just weigh him, too!

| LoL... at least with the little guys, it's somewhat easier to notice when they put on a little weight. I noticed Jackson looking a bit chubbier to me too (and he's always been very slim and fit) a month and a half ago, after being on Fromm for 6 months. I was feeding him a bit more because I figured it was lower calorie than his past food, etc, and I just think between the treats and such, he was getting a *bit* too much. Now when I say chubby, he still was not anywhere near being fat, but his body condition wasn't where I like to keep him. So anyway, I just cut back a bit. My boy is 16lbs or so and I find on lazier days, 1/2 cup of kibble is perfect for him (and a spoonful of wet, maybe a few treats during the day), and on more active days 2/3 cup per day is what we increase to.

| Arrrgghhhhh...I think part of Huey's problem is he is a cheeseaholic, and so am I, so when I eat my daily piece (hunk?) of cheese, I feel I have to share. This has not changed, just the amount of kibble he is eating, so I have to decide between the two. Healthy kibble, hunk of cheese...hmmmmmm

| What kind of cheese do you use? I give my boys 2 tiny shreds of Parmesan because it is the lowest in fat. Be careful with cheese. It can cause problems far worse than weight gain.

| HAHAHAHAH. He eats my NY sharp chedder! And any orher cheese he can get his paws on... I know, I know... bad momma... he has eaten cheese for years, so I'm not much concerned about the constipation thing, but I know I gotta be good for cholesterol and heart reasons. I have been really good with Huey, in comparison. Our last dog was a humane society lab mutt rescue that probably shoulda weighed 75 lbs that ended up 110 at least at his heaviest. He did live/love 13 years tho. We are trying to be good with the little one.
